This medication is mainly used for typical symptoms of cold such as cough, phlegm, runny nose, nasal congestion, and sneezing.

How to take

Adult dose

Do not take more than 4 times in 24 hours.

Child dose

Ages 6 to 12: 10 mL, taken every 4 to 6 hours Ages 2 to 6: 5 mL, taken every 4 to 6 hours Not to be administered to children under 2 years old, but if absolutely necessary, consult a doctor.

Precautions

This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, which breaks down into phenylalanine in the body. Therefore, patients with phenylketonuria, a genetic disorder that restricts phenylalanine intake, should not take this medication. The maximum allowable daily intake of aspartame is set at 40mg per kg of body weight, so it should be used in the minimal amount possible; adults weighing 60kg should be cautious not to exceed 2.4g per day. This medication contains pseudoephedrine which may cause severe skin reactions when taken with other medications containing pseudoephedrine. If symptoms such as fever, red spots on the skin, or small blisters develop, stop taking it immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Additionally, individuals who are taking or have stopped taking MAO inhibitors within the last two weeks, those with severe or uncontrolled hypertension, and patients with severe kidney disease or renal failure should not take this medication. During the use of this medication, it is safer not to take other cough suppressants, cold medicine, antihistamines, sedatives, or alcohol. Those with allergic tendencies or a history of drug allergy symptoms, liver, kidney, or thyroid diseases, diabetes, those in a fever or weak state, pregnant or potentially pregnant women, nursing mothers, patients with heart disease or hypertension, and those with cough associated with excessive phlegm or chronic cough should consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. It is generally not recommended for children under 2 years old to take this medication, and if absolutely necessary, a doctor's consultation is required. If symptoms such as rash, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, dizziness, anxiety, or insomnia occur during use, or if symptoms do not improve, stop taking it immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Specifically, if serious symptoms such as sudden severe headache, abdominal pain, bleeding, confusion, seizures, or visual disturbances occur, seek medical attention immediately. Always adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration guidelines, and when administering to children, caregivers must supervise. This medication should be stored out of the reach of children and in a place that avoids direct sunlight, moisture, and is cool and dry. Additionally, it should always be kept in the original container to prevent deterioration or misuse.
