This medication is mainly used for patients with essential hypertension. Additionally, it helps reduce the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and death from cardiovascular disease in high-risk diabetic patients aged 55 and older who have a history of coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease, stroke, or transient ischemic attack, or signs of target organ damage. Therefore, it is used safely and effectively to lower the risk of essential hypertension and cardiovascular disease.
