Adult dose
1. Use in adult men The recommended dose of this drug is 10mg, taken before anticipated sexual activity, regardless of meals. For patients in whom tadalafil 10mg does not produce a sufficient effect, 20 mg may be tried. This drug may be administered starting at least 30 minutes before sexual activity. The maximum recommended dosing frequency is once daily. Long-term safety following prolonged daily dosing has not been established, and because the effect of this drug usually lasts for more than one day, continuous daily administration of this drug is strongly discouraged. [See section 1. Warnings and section 11.1) Pharmacodynamic properties] 2. Use in elderly men Dose adjustments are not required in elderly patients. 3. Use in men with renal impairment No dose adjustment is required in patients with mild to moderate renal impairment. The maximum recommended dose in patients with severe renal impairment is 10mg. [See section 11.2) Pharmacokinetic properties]. 4. Use in men with hepatic impairment The recommended dose of Cialis is 10mg, taken before anticipated sexual activity, regardless of meals. Since clinical data on the safety of Cialis in patients with severe hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh Class C) are limited, if prescribing it, the physician should carefully assess the individual benefit/risk. There are no data on administering doses higher than 10mg to patients with hepatic impairment. [See section 3. Administer with caution to the following patients and section 11.2) Pharmacokinetic properties]. 5. Use in men with diabetes Dose adjustment is not required in patients with diabetes.

Precautions

This medication is intended for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, and it is essential to have a diagnosis by a physician and an assessment of cardiovascular status before use. Patients with heart disease or a recent history of myocardial infarction, angina, heart failure, or stroke should not take this medication. This drug can lower blood pressure, so patients taking nitrate preparations or alpha-blockers, which affect blood pressure, need to exercise caution. Especially, patients who regularly take nitrate preparations must not use this medication and must wait at least 48 hours after taking it before resuming nitrate administration. If the erection lasts for more than 4 hours or is accompanied by pain, notify healthcare providers immediately, as untreated conditions can lead to penile tissue damage and loss of erectile function. Patients with severe renal or liver dysfunction may require dosage adjustments, and in severe cases, it should be avoided. This medication is not to be used by women, children, or newborns. Side effects such as headaches, dyspepsia, back pain, muscle pain, flushing, congestion, and others may occur, and serious cases should consult a physician. Caution is advised when taken with alcohol as it may cause low blood pressure or dizziness. Additionally, if sudden loss of vision or hearing occurs, discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention. Do not mix with other erectile dysfunction treatments, as drug interactions may exist; you must inform your physician of all medications being taken. It should be kept out of reach of children and stored in its original packaging for safety.
