This drug is a beta-lactam antibiotic and should not be administered to patients who have had hypersensitivity reactions to penicillin or cephalosporins. Patients with infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia are at a higher risk of rash and should be cautious. Patients with a history of liver dysfunction or jaundice caused by this drug or penicillin should also avoid using it. Additionally, it should not be given to patients with a genetic problem that prevents the breakdown of lactose. Patients with liver disorders should be administered carefully as liver function may further deteriorate. Patients with moderate to severe renal impairment should adjust the dosage interval as drug levels may increase. Caution is also necessary for patients with allergic tendencies, bronchial asthma, elderly patients, and those in poor overall condition. If gastrointestinal disorders cause vomiting or diarrhea, drug absorption may not be adequate. Patients should consult healthcare providers immediately if any abnormal reactions such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, or rash occur while taking this medication. Serious hypersensitivity reactions such as pseudomembranous colitis, hepatitis, skin rashes, and anaphylaxis may occur rarely. Regular monitoring and evaluation of liver function, kidney function, and blood conditions should be conducted when taking this medication for long periods. Avoid using this medication during the first trimester of pregnancy, and pregnant or breastfeeding women should use it cautiously after consulting with a doctor. Caution is needed when using in premature infants or neonates as safety has not been established. Elderly patients should be monitored as side effects may manifest more easily due to reduced physiological function, with adjustments to dosage and intervals made as necessary. This medication may interact with other drugs, so it is essential to inform healthcare providers of any concomitant medications. In case of overdose, symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, renal failure, and seizures may appear, necessitating immediate medical attention.
