This medication is used to relieve symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, and tearing caused by colds, allergies, and vasomotor rhinitis. In particular, the tablet and syrup formulations also improve tearing symptoms, while the capsule formulation is effective for alleviating sneezing, runny nose, and nasal congestion symptoms. Taking this medication will help alleviate uncomfortable nasal and eye symptoms, aiding your daily life. How to take

Adult dose

Tablets: 1 tablet, 3 times a day after meals. Capsules: 1 capsule, 3 times a day after meals. Syrup: 10 mL, 3 times a day after meals.

Child dose

Tablets (ages 12-14): 1/2 tablet, 3 times a day after meals. Capsules (ages 12-14): 1/2 capsule, 3 times a day after meals. Syrup (ages 12 and older): 10 mL, 3 times a day after meals.

Precautions

This medication contains pseudoephedrine, which may rarely cause serious skin reactions such as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis. If you experience symptoms such as fever, red spots on the skin, or small blisters, stop taking this medication immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Additionally, individuals who have had allergic reactions to this medication or those with very poor liver and kidney function, or severe heart disease should not take it. Individuals who have difficulty urinating, suffer from hypertension or coronary artery disease, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, and breastfeeding individuals should also avoid this medication. Especially, children under 2 years old, people taking certain medications (e.g., MAO inhibitors), and those with genetic issues such as lactose intolerance should refrain from use. During the use of this medication, it should not be taken with blood pressure medications, alcohol, sedatives or tranquilizers, some antidepressants, and if you have recently taken an MAO inhibitor, it should only be used at least 15 days after. Also, while taking this medication, be cautious not to engage in activities requiring concentration, such as driving or operating machinery. Individuals with asthma, glaucoma, heart disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, or prostatic hyperplasia, as well as children under 12 years old, must consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days after taking this medication, or if you develop a high fever, stop taking it immediately and consult a healthcare professional. If signs of central nervous system disturbance, skin rash, gastrointestinal abnormalities, or difficulty urinating occur, stop taking it immediately and consult a doctor. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hallucinations, convulsions, nervous irritability, dizziness, and insomnia may occur. If these symptoms arise, go to a hospital immediately, as gastric lavage or dialysis may be necessary. Finally, keep this medication out of the reach of children and store it in its original tightly closed container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Be cautious about transferring it to another container, as this may pose a risk of misuse or reduced quality.

Drug interactions

This medication should not be taken with MAO inhibitors, antihypertensives, central nervous system depressants (sleeping pills, tranquilizers, anxiolytics), sympathomimetics, tricyclic antidepressants, guanethidine, bretylium, betanidine, debrisoquine, methyldopa, sympathomimetic medications (decongestants, appetite suppressants, stimulant amphetamines), and adrenergic blockers.

Food interactions

This medication should not be taken with alcohol.

This medication is sensitive to light, so it should be stored in a dark container that does not allow light in. Additionally, it should be kept at room temperature between 1°C and 30°C to maintain its efficacy.
