This medication is used to relieve symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, and nasal congestion caused by colds, allergies, and vasomotor rhinitis. Especially, the tablets and syrup can also improve symptoms accompanied by tear secretion, while the capsules mainly help relieve nasal-related symptoms. Patients can expect positive effects on symptom relief when taking this medication for these discomforts.

How to take

Adult dose

Tablets: 1 tablet per dose. Take 3 times a day after meals. Capsules: 1 capsule per dose. Take 3 times a day after meals. Syrup: 10 mL per dose. Take 3 times a day after meals.

Child dose

Tablets: 12-14 years old 1/2 tablet per dose Capsules: 12-14 years old 1/2 capsule per dose Syrup: 10 mL per dose for children 12 years and older Children under 12 years old should consult a physician. Take 3 times a day after meals.

Precautions

This medication contains pseudoephhedrine, which can cause serious skin reactions such as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis; thus, careful monitoring is required. This medication should not be taken by individuals with a history of hypersensitivity, severe liver or kidney dysfunction, serious heart conditions, urinary difficulties, hypertension, pregnant or nursing women, infants under 2 years old, those currently taking MAO inhibitors, and individuals who are hypersensitive to certain ingredients. It is important not to take this medication concomitantly with multiple drugs such as antihypertensives, alcohol, sedatives, tranquillizers, and MAO inhibitors, and especially MAO inhibitors should be administered at least 15 days after stopping this medication. During treatment with this medication, it is advisable to avoid activities requiring concentration, such as driving motor vehicles or operating dangerous machinery. Individuals with specific conditions such as asthma, glaucoma, heart disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, BPH, or children under 12 years old should consult a physician or pharmacist before use. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days of taking the medication or if fever occurs, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Also, if symptoms such as central nervous system abnormalities, skin reactions, gastrointestinal disturbances, or urinary difficulties occur, consult an expert promptly. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hallucinations, seizures, and insomnia may occur, and immediate medical attention should be sought if these symptoms are present. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children and stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Additionally, keeping it in its original container is recommended for safety.

Acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP), severe rashes with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in the mucous membranes of the mouth/eyes, symptoms of ischemic colitis (severe abdominal pain, rectal bleeding), sudden and very severe headaches, thunderclap headache, nausea, vomiting, confusion, seizures, visual disturbances, symptoms of reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy syndrome and reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome
