This medication is effective for the prevention and ongoing treatment of asthma. It is also used to relieve symptoms caused by seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis. Thus, it helps improve symptoms of asthma and allergic rhinitis.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication should be taken once daily, with asthma patients advised to take it in the evening. For allergic rhinitis patients, the dosing time should be determined according to the patient's condition. Patients with both asthma and allergic rhinitis should take one tablet in the evening, once daily. Adults and adolescents aged 15 and older should take 10 mg of Montelukast orally once daily.

Precautions

This medication may affect the central nervous system and can cause various symptoms such as agitation, anxiety, depression, hallucinations, sleep disturbances, and suicidal thoughts. If these symptoms appear or worsen during treatment, inform your doctor immediately, and if necessary, discontinue use. This medication should not be used by patients with allergies to its components or specific genetic metabolic disorders. Caution should be taken as side effects such as fatigue, headache, dyspepsia, cough, fever, and rash may occur during treatment.
