This medication is used in the treatment of progressive breast cancer in postmenopausal women. It is particularly effective in patients with hormone receptor-positive breast cancer and is also used as adjuvant therapy for early breast cancer patients who have received tamoxifen treatment. However, its efficacy has not been proven in estrogen receptor-negative patients. This medication helps to inhibit the recurrence and progression of breast cancer.

Do not administer this drug to patients with severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance of 30 mL/min or less). ○ Patients with hepatic impairment: No dosage adjustment is necessary for patients with mild hepatic impairment. Precautions
This medication should not be used in premenopausal women as its safety and efficacy have not been confirmed. If there is uncertainty about menopausal status, it must be confirmed through blood tests. It is advisable not to use this medication in patients with severely impaired liver or kidney function, as its safety has not been established. This medication may lower estrogen levels in the body, which can decrease bone density and increase the risk of fractures; therefore, osteoporosis patients or those at risk should undergo regular bone density assessments. Adequate prevention and treatment of osteoporosis should be concurrently managed, and careful management should be followed according to a physician's instructions. This medication can cause inflammation or damage to tendons or fascia; if related symptoms occur, consult a physician immediately. It is not administered to pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, breastfeeding women, and patients with specific genetic lactase deficiencies. Additionally, using this medication in conjunction with tamoxifen or estrogen-containing therapies may reduce its effectiveness, so they should not be combined. Side effects such as facial flushing due to vasodilation, malaise, arthralgia, headache, nausea, rash, and depression may occur while taking this medication. Should these symptoms become severe or persist, notify a physician, and immediate treatment is required if allergic reactions or severe skin reactions occur. Serious side effects such as liver dysfunction, pneumonia symptoms, and thromboembolism may occur, so regular examinations and symptom monitoring are necessary. Caution is advised when driving or operating machinery, as malaise or confusion may arise. In cases of overdose, there is no specific antidote, so seek appropriate treatment at a hospital immediately, and depending on symptoms, inducing vomiting or dialysis may be necessary. Keep out of reach of children, and store in the original container to maintain the quality of the medication. The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been confirmed in children or adolescents under 18 years of age. It is generally considered safe for the elderly, with effects reported to be similar to those in younger populations.
