Precautions

This medication should not be used by pregnant women, individuals with weak constitutions and strong yang qi, those with inflammatory fevers, or patients with hypertension or arteriosclerosis. Symptoms like muscle weakness, limb cramps, and paralysis may appear due to hypokalemia; therefore, if these symptoms occur, discontinue use and consult a doctor. Concurrent use of potassium supplements, medications containing licorice, and certain diuretics may increase the risk of the aforementioned side effects, so caution is advised when taken together. Be mindful that side effects such as dry mouth or a bent tongue may occur when taking this medication. It is not advisable to use this medication in conjunction with ingredients such as pinellia and medicinal ginger.
