Pregnant women should take particular care when using this medication. If there is a reduction in urine output, swelling of the face or extremities, heaviness of the eyelids, stiffness in the hands, an increase in blood pressure, or headaches while taking this medication, use should be stopped immediately and a specialist consulted. Long-term use of the licorice component above a certain amount can lead to hypokalemia, increased blood pressure, and symptoms such as swelling and weight gain due to sodium and fluid retention, making regular monitoring necessary. Hypokalemia can lead to muscular disorders such as muscle weakness, cramps, and paralysis, and use should be stopped if these symptoms occur. Symptoms indicating possible liver dysfunction, such as fatigue, loss of appetite, jaundice, severe upper abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and dark urine, require immediate cessation of use and consultation with a specialist. During treatment, caution is needed if this medication is taken with potassium-containing medications or other medications containing licorice, as well as certain diuretics, which can increase the risk of hypokalemia and muscular disorders. When taking the medication, it is advisable to dissolve it in hot water and drink only the liquid from the top. For storage, it should be kept in a tightly closed container to prevent air or moisture from entering, and stored at room temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius. This will help maintain the medication's effectiveness.
