This medication acts to stop coughing (antitussive) and helps to thin and discharge phlegm (expectorant). It also has the effect of regulating excessive sweat secretion (antiperspirant) and is used to relieve dry mouth symptoms (xerostomia). It is widely used for respiratory-related issues as it is effective in improving major symptoms.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Take 0.72-1.80g three times a day before meals or between meals. Adjust the dosage according to age and symptoms, and if compounded for prescription use, reduce the dosage appropriately.

Precautions

This medicine contains lactose. Therefore, it should not be used by individuals with genetic disorders that prevent proper breakdown of lactose. For instance, patients with galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take this medication. Additionally, this medicine is very sensitive to moisture, so it must be tightly closed and stored in a sealed condition after use. If moisture gets in, the efficacy of the medicine may decrease or it may deteriorate.

Storage

This medicine may be sensitive to air or moisture, so it should be stored in a sealed container. It is recommended to keep the storage temperature between 1 degree and 30 degrees Celsius at room temperature. Proper storage will help maintain the efficacy of the medicine for a longer period.
