This medication helps relieve various symptoms of the cold such as runny nose, nasal congestion, sneezing, sore throat, cough, phlegm, chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain. It is used to alleviate uncomfortable symptoms during a cold and to aid in rapid recovery.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults (15 years and older): Take 2 capsules per dose, three times a day after meals, 30 minutes after eating.

Precautions

This medication may affect the liver; therefore, individuals who consume more than three alcoholic drinks daily should consult a physician or pharmacist before taking it. If severe rashes, blisters, or redness develop on the skin during the use of this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. As this medication contains acetaminophen, do not exceed the maximum daily dosage, and do not take it concurrently with other products containing acetaminophen. Due to the presence of pseudoephedrine, severe skin reactions may occur; therefore, if fever or skin symptoms develop, discontinue use and consult a specialist. Do not take this medication if you have a history of allergic reactions or asthma, are an infant under three months old, or have certain genetic metabolic disorders. Individuals currently taking or having discontinued specific medications, such as antidepressants, within the past two weeks should consult a specialist before use. It is advisable not to take other cold medications, analgesics, sedatives, or antihistamines while using this medication. Children suspected of having chickenpox or influenza, individuals with allergic tendencies, or those with liver, kidney, heart diseases should consult a healthcare professional before use. If symptoms such as rashes, vomiting, swelling, or dizziness occur during treatment, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician or pharmacist, and seek further medical attention if symptoms do not improve. This medication should not be administered to children under two years of age; if absolutely necessary, a physician's care should be sought. This medication should be taken at prescribed dosages and not for extended periods, and patients should avoid alcohol during use as drowsiness may occur, hindering driving or operating machinery. Caution is warranted as the risk of side effects may increase when taken with specific medications; therefore, inform a specialist if other medications are being used. Store this medication out of reach of children, protect it from direct sunlight, and keep it in a tightly sealed container in a cool, dry place.   • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, respiratory abnormalities with cough + fever → respiratory issues
  • Jaundice with yellowing of the skin or eyes, profound lethargy → liver abnormalities (jaundice)
  • Sudden

Mild side effects

Rash, redness, itching, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, swelling, urinary difficulties, dryness, dizziness, anxiety, tremors, insomnia, high anion gap metabolic acidosis (HAGMA)

Interactions

Drug interactions

Do not take concurrently with expectorants, other cold medications, antipyretic analgesics, sedatives, or antihistamines. Consult with a doctor or pharmacist if taking medications for diabetes, gout, arthritis, anticoagulants, steroids, barbiturates, or tricyclic antidepressants. Be cautious when taking potassium-containing preparations, licorice-containing preparations, glycyrrhizin or its salts, loop diuretics, or thiazide diuretics together.
