This product contains lactose, so individuals with lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not use it. Patients with pediatric nutritional disorders or phlegm-heat should take this medicine with caution. While taking this medicine, it may cause liver dysfunction or jaundice symptoms, so it is important to monitor body conditions and discontinue use if any abnormalities are observed. Allergic reactions may cause skin rashes, redness, and itching; discontinue use immediately if such symptoms occur. Gastrointestinal discomfort may arise, leading to decreased appetite, stomach unease, nausea, or vomiting. Rarely, urinary symptoms such as frequent urination, dysuria, hematuria, feelings of incomplete urination, or cystitis may occur, so symptoms should be monitored closely. Serious respiratory side effects, such as interstitial pneumonia, may occur, so if fever, cough, or shortness of breath occurs, the medication should be stopped, and the patient should go to a hospital immediately. There may also be side effects such as dry mouth or a twisting sensation of the tongue. Individuals with high blood pressure or heart and kidney diseases, those with edema, or those currently undergoing treatment should consult with a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. If during treatment, urine output decreases or the face or limbs swell, eyelids become heavy, hands feel stiff, blood pressure rises, or headaches occur, the medication should be discontinued immediately, and a healthcare professional should be consulted. Long-term use may lead to symptoms of hypokalemia, elevated blood pressure, edema, or weight gain, so regular serum potassium levels should be tested. If symptoms like muscle weakness, limb cramps, or paralysis appear, discontinue use immediately and consult with a healthcare professional. This medication should be taken with consideration of the patient’s constitution and symptoms; if symptoms do not improve after use, do not continue using and consult a professional. As it contains licorice, serum potassium levels and blood pressure changes should be closely monitored, and if abnormalities occur, use should be discontinued. When taking it with other traditional remedies, care should be taken to avoid overlapping herbal ingredients. Taking potassium-containing preparations or medications with licorice ingredients, as well as certain diuretics, can cause hypokalemia or myopathy, thus caution should be exercised. The safety during pregnancy is not established, so pregnant women or women of childbearing potential should take it only when the therapeutic benefits outweigh the risks. Safety for children has not been sufficiently verified, hence caution is necessary.
