Patients with inflammatory fever should not use this medication since other treatments may be necessary when experiencing fever. Patients with hypertension or atherosclerosis should avoid taking this medication as it may affect blood pressure. Since this medication contains lactose, patients with genetic issues related to lactose digestion should not take it, as side effects may occur. During intake, side effects such as dry mouth or tongue stiffness may develop, so caution is advised. The glycyrrhizic acid component in this medication may cause symptoms like hypokalemia, elevated blood pressure, fluid retention, edema, or weight gain if taken in excess of the maximum daily amount for a prolonged period, so it should be used carefully. Individuals with high blood pressure, older adults, patients with heart or kidney issues, those with edema, or patients currently undergoing treatment by a doctor should consult an expert before taking this medication. If urine output decreases, facial or limb swelling occurs, eyelids become heavy, hands feel stiff, blood pressure rises, or headaches develop after taking the medication, stop using it immediately and consult an expert. In particular, long-term use of licorice ingredient over 1g per day may lead to muscle pathology associated with hypokalemia, so potassium levels should be checked regularly and discontinued if abnormalities are found. During use, caution should be exercised to avoid potassium supplements, other medications including licorice, and certain diuretics, as combination usage may increase the risk of muscle pathology. It is also recommended to avoid using this medication with Banxia and Wudu, as side effects may occur when these two ingredients are present together. When storing, keep it in a sealed container away from direct sunlight and in a cool, dry place. After use, it must be sealed to maintain quality. Moreover, transferring the medication to another container may lead to misuse and a decrease in quality; hence, it is important to store it in its original container.
