Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals with inflammatory heat or weak digestive systems, those who do not have stagnant conditions in the intestines or stomach, individuals with heat in the body or who are weak and have a dry cough. Pregnant women, newborns, and nursing mothers should also refrain from taking this medication. Additionally, this medication contains lactose; thus, individuals with lactose intolerance, lactose deficiency, or genetic issues such as glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. If there is a decrease in urine output, swelling in the face or limbs, heaviness in the eyelids, stiffness in the hands, elevated blood pressure, or headaches during use, the medication should be discontinued immediately and a healthcare professional consulted. Prolonged use of this medication may lead to hypokalemia, increased blood pressure, accumulation of sodium and fluids, edema, and weight gain; thus, regular monitoring of blood potassium levels and careful observation is required. Moreover, hypokalemia can cause muscle weakness, limb cramps, and paralysis; if such symptoms occur, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional. When taking potassium-containing preparations or licorice-containing preparations, or certain diuretics, the aforementioned side effects may occur more readily, so caution is necessary. This medication should be stored in a cool place away from direct sunlight and moisture, and the lid must be tightly closed after use to maintain its quality.
