Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with inflammatory heat or who are weak and have been coughing for a long time or vomiting blood. Additionally, patients with heat in the body or dry cough should not take this medication. This medication contains lactose, so patients with genetic issues that prevent lactose digestion should avoid taking it. Patients with high blood pressure, older individuals, patients with heart or kidney issues, or those with edema should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Furthermore, individuals currently undergoing other treatments, those experiencing diarrhea, children with poor nutritional status, and individuals with damp-heat symptoms should also consult a specialist before taking this medication. If during the use of this medication there is a decrease in urine output, swelling of the face or extremities, heaviness of the eyelids, stiffening of the hands, an increase in blood pressure, or headaches, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. Long-term use may lead to side effects such as hypokalemia, edema, or weight gain, so regular blood tests should be conducted to monitor condition. If symptoms such as muscle weakness, limb cramps, or paralysis occur, discontinue use and consult a doctor. Dry mouth or tongue abnormalities should also be observed carefully. Using this medication with other potassium-containing agents or medications containing licorice, or certain diuretics may exacerbate side effects, so caution is necessary. In particular, it is advisable not to use it in conjunction with the ingredients Banha and Odu.
