Also, this medication contains lactose, so patients with a genetic issue that makes them intolerant to lactose should not take it. Individuals with high blood pressure, older adults, those with heart or kidney issues, individuals with edema, and those currently undergoing medical treatment should consult a specialist before taking this medication. If you experience decreased urine output, swelling of the face or extremities, heaviness of eyelids, stiffness in hands, rising blood pressure, or symptoms like headaches while taking this medication, you should immediately stop taking it and consult a specialist. Long-term use of this medication may result in side effects such as hypokalemia, increased blood pressure, and fluid retention, so it is essential to have regular blood tests for monitoring. Muscle weakness, cramps, or paralysis can arise from hypokalemia; if these symptoms occur, cease usage and inform a specialist. Caution should be taken when using this medication with other drugs or diuretics containing potassium or licorice, as the risk of side effects may increase. Particularly, if medications containing significant amounts of licorice are taken over an extended period, symptoms such as increased blood pressure and fluid retention may arise; thus, caution is required. This medication should be stored in a cool place away from direct sunlight and moisture, and be securely closed after use.
