Precautions

This medication can put a strain on the liver, so individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks per day should consult a physician or pharmacist before use. The acetaminophen component in this medication can rarely cause severe skin allergic reactions, so if a rash or unusual symptoms occur after taking it, discontinue use immediately. The daily maximum dose of acetaminophen should not exceed 4,000 mg, and it should not be taken with other acetaminophen-containing medications to prevent liver damage. The pseudoephedrine component in this medication can very rarely induce severe skin reactions; therefore, if symptoms such as fever, rash, or pustules occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. Individuals with a history of allergy to this medication or who have triggered asthma, infants under 3 months old, or those taking certain antidepressants or psychiatric medications should not take this medication. Additionally, individuals with genetic lactose intolerance, severe hypertension, or kidney disease should also avoid using this medication. During use, it is safer not to combine with cough suppressants, other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, or antihistamines. Children affected by chickenpox or influenza, those with certain symptoms, individuals with allergies, liver, kidney, or heart diseases, elderly patients, pregnant women, and nursing mothers should always consult a professional prior to use. If symptoms such as rashes, itching, nausea, dizziness, severe headache, shortness of breath, or jaundice occur after taking the medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician or pharmacist. The use of this medication is generally not advised for children under 2 years of age unless absolutely necessary with a physician's consultation. This medication must be taken according to the prescribed dosage and duration, should not be taken for extended periods, and alcohol should be avoided during treatment. Caution is required while driving or operating machinery as drowsiness may occur. The metabolism of acetaminophen can be slowed when taken with certain medications, so caution is needed during co-administration. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, protected from direct sunlight, and kept in a cool, dry place in a tightly sealed container. To maintain quality, it is best not to transfer it to another container.
