This medication should not be used in patients who have previously experienced severe allergic reactions or shock related to this drug. Patients with a history of allergy to this drug's ingredients or similar classes of antibiotics should generally not be administered this medication, and if administration is necessary, it should be done very cautiously. Patients with a history of allergy to penicillin antibiotics should also use this medication with caution. If there are individuals with a predisposition to allergic reactions such as asthma, rash, or urticaria in the patient’s family, caution should be exercised when using this medication. Patients with severely impaired kidney function should be administered this medication carefully, as it may not be well excreted from the body, leading to complications. Patients who have difficulty taking medications orally or are receiving nutrition via non-oral routes, older patients, or those in poor health may display symptoms of vitamin K deficiency and should be carefully monitored. Rarely, this medication may cause shock or severe allergic reactions, so symptoms should be carefully monitored, and if dizziness, vomiting, sweating, or other abnormal symptoms occur, administration should be discontinued immediately. If skin rashes, urticaria, or itching occur, stop taking the medication and seek appropriate treatment. If severe diarrhea or abdominal pain occurs due to gastrointestinal issues, discontinue the medication and consult a physician immediately. If symptoms of difficulty in breathing, coughing, or any pulmonary issues arise, the medication should be discontinued, and treatment sought. Since blood tests may show changes in white blood cells or platelet levels, regular blood tests are necessary for long-term use. Neurological symptoms including cognitive impairment or seizures may occur; special caution is warranted in patients with poor kidney function. Serious adverse skin reactions may occur rarely, so patients should closely monitor their skin condition and discontinue use if abnormalities arise. Regular testing is necessary because of potential impacts on liver and kidney function, and appropriate action should be taken if any abnormalities are found. Symptoms such as oral inflammation or candidiasis may occur due to microbial displacement; patients should be attentive to these symptoms. There may be rare symptoms of bleeding tendency due to vitamin K deficiency or vitamin B complex deficiency; symptoms should be monitored. When using this medication, it is advisable to administer it only for the minimum duration required to prevent the emergence of resistant bacteria. To prevent shock reactions, it is preferable to thoroughly check the patient's medical history and conduct skin reaction tests if necessary. Dizziness may occur, so caution should be taken when driving or operating machinery. If used continuously for more than 10 days, blood tests to monitor white blood cell levels should be conducted. Patients with decreased kidney function require dosage adjustments; failure to adjust the dosage may lead to seizures, so caution is essential. Serious skin adverse reactions may occur, so it is important to sufficiently explain symptoms and signs to the patient and to closely monitor skin conditions. When used with diuretics or other antibiotics, kidney function may be affected; hence, careful administration is warranted. Using this medication in combination with specific drugs may alter its blood concentration, so consultation with the attending physician is advisable. During pregnancy, safety has not been established, so it should only be used cautiously when necessary, and breastfeeding women should discontinue breastfeeding. The safety of this medication in children and infants has not been fully confirmed, so caution is necessary when using. Older adults may experience adverse reactions more readily due to declining bodily functions, so dosages and intervals should be carefully adjusted, and conditions monitored. This medication may influence certain clinical test results, so it’s important to inform the testing personnel at the time of tests. In the case of syrup formulations, it should be refrigerated after preparation and used within 2 weeks, and should be shaken well before each use.
