Precautions

This medication should be used cautiously in patients with weak stomachs. Symptoms such as stomach discomfort, loss of appetite, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea may occur. Patients who already have loss of appetite, nausea, or vomiting symptoms should be careful as these symptoms may worsen. This medication contains licorice, and prolonged use may lead to side effects such as hypokalemia, increased blood pressure, fluid retention, edema, and weight gain, so regular monitoring of blood potassium levels is important. Symptoms like muscle weakness, cramps, or paralysis due to hypokalemia may occur, and if such symptoms arise, discontinue use immediately and seek appropriate treatment. It may affect liver function, potentially leading to elevated liver enzyme levels or symptoms of jaundice, so regular liver function tests should be performed, and discontinuation should occur if abnormalities are found. If hypersensitive reactions appear, such as skin rashes or itching, discontinue use. Digestive symptoms, such as loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, may occur after taking this medication, so symptoms should be observed closely. This medication should be administered considering the patient's constitution and symptoms, and if symptoms do not improve, do not continue use and consult with a doctor or pharmacist. Since it contains licorice, blood pressure and blood potassium levels should be monitored carefully, and if abnormalities are found, discontinue use. When combined with other herbal products, verify that there are no overlapping herbal ingredients. Caution is needed when taking with potassium-containing preparations or other medications that contain licorice, as there is a risk of hypokalemia or hyperaldosteronism. Safety during pregnancy has not been established, so women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only take it if the benefits of treatment are deemed to outweigh the risks. Safety in children has not been fully established, so it should be administered cautiously to children. Elderly patients may have decreased physiological functions, so caution such as dose reduction is necessary. Patients with high blood pressure, heart disease, kidney disease, or edema must consult with a doctor or pharmacist before using. If symptoms such as decreased urination, facial or limb swelling, eyelid drooping, hand stiffness, increased blood pressure, headache, or paralysis occur during treatment, discontinue use immediately and consult with medical personnel. This medication contains lactose, so patients with genetic conditions such as galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it.
