Precautions

This medication may cause side effects easily in patients whose physical strength is very low after illness. Patients with weak stomachs may experience decreased appetite, discomfort in the stomach area, nausea, and vomiting, so use should be cautious. Patients with loss of appetite or symptoms of nausea or vomiting should also be careful as worsening of symptoms may occur. Patients who tend to sweat excessively may experience profuse sweating or general weakness, so they should be cautious. Patients with heart-related diseases such as angina or myocardial infarction, or those with a medical history must consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. Severely hypertensive patients or those with significantly impaired kidney function should also use this medication with caution. Patients with urinary disorders and those with hyperthyroidism should receive special attention when taking this medication. This medication contains glycyrrhizin and may result in symptoms such as hypokalemia, increased blood pressure, and edema with long-term use, so regular monitoring of serum potassium levels is necessary. Hypokalemia may cause muscle weakness or cramps, so if symptoms of weakness or limb cramps occur, the medication should be discontinued, and a healthcare professional should be consulted. Liver dysfunction or jaundice may occur, so regular liver function tests are recommended, and use should be discontinued if abnormalities arise. If skin rashes, redness, itching, or other hypersensitivity reactions occur, discontinue use immediately. Autonomic nervous system symptoms such as insomnia, excessive sweating, frequent urination, palpitations, general weakness, and mental agitation may occur. Gastrointestinal symptoms like decreased appetite, stomach discomfort, nausea, and vomiting may also occur, so caution is advised. Urinary disorders may occur, and if these symptoms arise, consultation with a healthcare professional is necessary. When taking this medication, it is essential to adhere strictly to the prescribed administration and dosage considering the patient's constitution and symptoms. If symptoms such as decreased urine output, swelling of the face or hands and feet, muscle stiffness, increased blood pressure, or headache occur after taking the medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. If symptoms do not improve even after a few days of use, it is advisable to stop taking it and consult with a physician or pharmacist. Long-term use is not recommended, and if prolonged use is necessary, consultation with a healthcare professional is mandatory. Be cautious of ingredient duplication if used in combination with other traditional herbal products. When used with certain medications, symptoms such as insomnia, excessive sweating, frequent urination, palpitations, general weakness, and mental confusion may occur, requiring dosage adjustments. Care should be taken when used with potassium-containing preparations or medications containing licorice due to the risk of aldosteronism or myopathy from hypokalemia. The safety during pregnancy has not been established, so pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should only take it when the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks. Safety in pediatric patients has not been sufficiently confirmed, thus caution is advised in usage. Elderly patients may have decreased physiological functions, so caution such as dose reduction is necessary. This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container, protected from direct sunlight and excessive humidity, and kept out of reach of children. Transferring to another container may lead to misuse or degradation of quality, so it should be stored in its original container. Eczema or dermatitis may worsen, so the condition of the skin should be monitored closely. Patients with high blood pressure, heart or kidney diseases, those with edema, or anyone currently in treatment should consult with a physician or pharmacist prior to use.
