Additionally, it contributes to promoting capillary bleeding and the formation and healing of bone structure during fractures. It is utilized for various vitamin C deficiencies and metabolic disorders to enhance health.

Precautions

As this medication is an ampoule injection, great caution must be exercised when opening the container to prevent glass fragments from mixing in. Extra care should be taken when using it in children and the elderly. This medication contains sodium bisulfite, which can cause severe allergic reactions or asthma attacks in patients allergic to sulfites, so it is important to administer it with caution. Individuals with hypersensitivity to this medication or its components, oxaluria, Mediterranean anemia, gout, cystinuria, G6PD deficiency, or those with kidney stones should not use this medication. During use, side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, heartburn, abdominal cramps, fatigue, facial flushing, headache, and insomnia may occur. High doses may result in urinary acidification, increasing the risk of diarrhea or kidney stones, and diuretic effects may appear. Overdose can lead to diarrhea and kidney stones; if symptoms are severe, administration should be stopped immediately, and appropriate treatment sought. This medication is primarily taken orally, but may be administered as an injection in cases of gastrointestinal absorption disorders or when a rapid need for vitamin C arises, and it is advisable to switch to oral administration when possible. Interactions with other medications may occur, so caution should be taken when co-administering with aspirin, iron supplements, certain antibiotics, anticonvulsants, and oral contraceptives. During pregnancy, due to uncertain safety for the fetus, it should only be administered when necessary, and high doses should be avoided. When injecting, if there is pain or blood reflux at the injection site, remove the needle immediately, and slow intravenous administration should be done to prevent dizziness or vascular pain. This medication should be stored in a dry place away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children. Additionally, medications should not be transferred from their original container to another container, and they should be securely stored in their original container.
