Relief of allergy symptoms such as allergic rhinitis and conjunctivitis, chronic urticaria
This medication is effective for seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, chronic idiopathic urticaria, and pruritus. It can also be used in combination with hydrocortisone topical preparations for the treatment of eczema and dermatitis. It is used to help alleviate symptoms and improve skin condition.
Adults and children aged 6 years and older: Administer 10mg orally once daily before bedtime as cetirizine hydrochloride. For patients sensitive to adverse effects, divide the dosage into 5mg in the morning and evening. Adjust according to age and symptoms. In patients with renal impairment, the dosing interval and dosage should be adjusted based on renal function, and the creatinine clearance should be used to adjust dosages as follows. - Normal (≥80 mL/min)
Children aged 6 years and older: Administer 10mg orally once daily before bedtime, the same as for adults. In children with renal impairment, the dose should be adjusted individually based on the patient's renal clearance and weight.
This medication should not be taken by individuals who are allergic to specific ingredients or have previously experienced side effects related to this medication. It is safer for patients with severely impaired kidney function or children under 6 years of age not to use this medication. This medication contains lactose, so those with lactose intolerance should avoid taking it. During the use of this medication, it is advisable not to take certain medications, such as theophylline or ritonavir, as they may affect the drug's effectiveness or concentration in the body. Excessive alcohol intake while taking this medication may exacerbate side effects, so caution is advised. Patients with kidney or liver problems, elderly patients, those with epilepsy, or women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should consult their doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. This medication may worsen conditions where urine does not flow well, so patients with related diseases need to be cautious. In case of overdose, symptoms such as confusion, drowsiness, dizziness may occur, and immediate consultation with medical personnel is necessary. Various side effects such as headache, nausea, skin rash, and liver dysfunction may occur while taking this medication; if symptoms appear, consult a professional immediately. It is advisable to temporarily stop this medication before allergy testing, and caution is needed when driving or operating machinery. This medication can be taken with food, but food may slow down the absorption rate of the drug. Keep out of reach of children and store in the original container tightly sealed to maintain the quality of the medication.
Urticaria, severe swelling (edema), angioedema, hypersensitivity shock, hypersensitivity, severe allergic reactions, severe rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, painful oral/ocular mucous membranes, severe skin adverse reactions, difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, respiratory abnormalities accompanied by cough and fever, breathing problems, yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme lethargy, liver abnormalities (jaundice), sudden and severe headache,
