Precautions

This drug should not be used by patients who are allergic to this drug or its ingredients. Patients with poor kidney function, elderly individuals, or those with heart diseases or past histories of heart diseases should exercise caution when using this drug. The most common side effect when using this drug is headache, with rare occurrences of drowsiness, dizziness, and nausea. Very rarely, allergic reactions such as skin rash, hives, itching, angioedema, and difficulty breathing may occur; if these symptoms arise, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. This drug may affect liver function, leading to elevated liver enzymes or symptoms of jaundice; therefore, if any symptoms of liver dysfunction appear, discontinue use and consult a doctor. Because this drug can affect the nervous system, symptoms such as headache, dizziness, or nausea may occur, so caution is advised when driving or operating machinery. This drug may decrease its effectiveness or alter blood levels when taken with certain antibiotics, antacids, or specific fruit juices (grapefruit juice, orange juice, apple juice), so it is recommended to adjust the intake intervals or avoid taking them together. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should consult a doctor before using this drug, and nursing mothers are advised not to take this drug. In children, particularly those under 12 years, the safety and efficacy of this drug have not been adequately confirmed, so its use should be avoided. Elderly individuals may be at increased risk of decreased kidney function, so adjusting the drug dosage and regularly monitoring kidney function are necessary. For allergy testing involving skin reaction tests, this drug should be discontinued 3 to 5 days prior to the test to obtain accurate results. No specific toxicity cases have been reported due to overdose; however, symptoms such as dizziness, drowsiness, and dry mouth may occur. Therefore, it is crucial to avoid overdose, and if doses are exceeded, contact a healthcare professional immediately for appropriate treatment. This drug should be stored out of reach of children, and caution should be taken as transferring it to other containers could cause accidents.
