Precautions

This medication can cause serious side effects such as tendonitis or tendon rupture, so if such symptoms occur, use should be discontinued immediately. Additionally, it may affect peripheral neuropathy or the central nervous system, so caution is needed if neurological symptoms arise. It should not be administered to patients with myasthenia gravis, as symptoms may worsen. The risk of tendon rupture may be higher in elderly patients, patients with impaired renal function, and those taking corticosteroids together, so co-administration should be avoided. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, adolescents under 18 who are still growing, patients with epilepsy, and those allergic to this drug or similar drugs should not use it. This medication may increase the risk of seizures, so patients with convulsive disorders or central nervous system diseases should use it cautiously. While taking this medication, photosensitivity reactions may occur, so strong sunlight or ultraviolet exposure should be avoided, and if skin rashes or itching occur, the medication should be discontinued. Diabetics who require blood sugar control should pay attention to blood glucose fluctuations, and if hypoglycemic symptoms occur, they should consult healthcare professionals immediately. This drug has many interactions with other medications, particularly with theophylline, warfarin, tizanidine, and ketoprofen, so it is essential to consult with a physician or pharmacist. Overdose may cause renal issues, so prescribed dosage and quantity must be adhered to. Finally, this medication should be stored out of the reach of children and away from direct sunlight or ultraviolet light.
