Relief of allergic symptoms such as allergic rhinitis and conjunctivitis, chronic urticaria.
This medication is used to treat seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, chronic idiopathic urticaria, and pruritus. It can also help alleviate symptoms when used in combination with hydrocortisone topical agents for treatment of eczema and dermatitis.
For adults and children over 6 years, administer 10mg of cetirizine hydrochloride orally once daily before bed. Patients sensitive to side effects may take 5mg split into morning and evening doses. Adjust appropriately based on age and symptoms. For patients with kidney impairment, dosage and frequency should be adjusted according to renal function.
For children over 6 years, administer 10mg orally once daily before bed. For children with kidney impairment, the dosage should be individually adjusted based on the patient's renal clearance rate and weight.
This medication should not be taken by patients who are allergic to certain ingredients or have experienced hypersensitivity reactions. Patients with severely impaired kidney function or children under 6 years of age should not use this medication. As this medication contains lactose, individuals with lactose intolerance or related genetic disorders should avoid taking it. Do not use this medication concurrently with certain drugs, for example, theophylline or ritonavir. Excessive alcohol intake can be dangerous when taking this medication and should be avoided. Patients with kidney or liver issues, elderly patients, those with epilepsy, pregnant or nursing women should consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. This medication may worsen conditions resulting in reduced urine output, so caution is needed for those with related disorders. Overdose may lead to confusion, drowsiness, dizziness, and other symptoms requiring appropriate treatment based on the symptoms. During treatment, side effects such as drowsiness, headache, dyspepsia, skin rash, and liver function abnormalities may occur, so immediate consultation with a specialist is advised if unusual symptoms arise. It is advisable to temporarily discontinue this medication before allergy tests. Caution is necessary while driving or operating machinery, especially when taking it with alcohol or other central nervous system depressants. The absorption rate of this medication may be slightly slowed by food intake, but it does not significantly affect its efficacy. Keep this medication out of reach of children and store it in its original container to maintain quality and ensure safe use.
Urticaria, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe allergic reaction, hypersensitivity shock, severe rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in oral/ocular mucosa, severe dermatological reactions, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, respiratory symptoms accompanied by coughing and fever, yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme lethargy, liver dysfunction (jaundice)

Do not take this medication with theophylline or ritonavir.
Do not take this medication with excessive alcohol.
This medication may be sensitive to air and moisture, so it must be stored in a tightly sealed container. Ideal storage temperature is between 1°C and 30°C to maintain its efficacy and safety.
