This drug should not be administered to patients with hypersensitivity to macrolide antibiotics or those taking certain medications (terfenadine, astemizole, cisapride, pimodidine, ergot alkaloids, mizolastine). Caution should be exercised when administering to patients with impaired liver function or the elderly, and it should be used cautiously in combination with other antibiotics due to an increased risk of resistance or adverse effects. Women who are pregnant or potentially pregnant should carefully assess whether the benefits outweigh the risks when using this drug, as it may affect the fetus.
