Precautions

This medication should not be taken by individuals with allergic reactions, ulcers in the stomach or duodenum, or by children under 2 years of age. Patients with hereditary conditions that affect lactose digestion should not take this medication. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should use it only when necessary, and nursing mothers should take it with caution. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, stomatitis, heartburn, and diarrhea may occur during use, so caution is needed. Rarely, allergic reactions such as hives, itching, rash, headache, tinnitus, and bronchospasm may occur. In severe cases, rapid heartbeat, increased blood pressure, and serious reactions such as anaphylaxis have been reported. If difficulty in breathing occurs, discontinue the medication immediately and consult a healthcare professional. This medication may reduce the efficacy of certain antibiotics when taken together, so it is recommended to take them at least 2 hours apart. Avoid mixing this medication with other drugs in solution, and keep it out of reach of children. Caution should be exercised as transferring the medication to a different container can affect its quality or increase the risk of misuse. When used for inhalation, caution is advised for individuals with asthma or poor respiratory function, as bronchospasm may occur. A mask may become tightly adhered to the face after inhalation, which can be easily removed with water. Use in elderly patients or children should be discussed with a healthcare professional due to limited experience with this medication. Inhalation devices should be cleaned immediately after use, and certain antibiotics may alter the medication when mixed, so separate administration is preferable. Be careful not to increase the concentration of the medication during nebulization and dilute with sterile distilled water if necessary.
