Precautions

This medication should not be taken by individuals allergic to certain components. It should also not be used by those with ulcers in the stomach or duodenum. Children under the age of 2 should not take this medication, and patients with lactose intolerance or certain genetic metabolic disorders should also avoid it. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only take it after consulting with a doctor and only if absolutely necessary. Lactating women should be careful about taking this medication as it is uncertain whether it is excreted in breast milk. If gastrointestinal symptoms such as vomiting, stomatitis, heartburn, diarrhea, or allergic reactions like hives, itching, rash, headache, or bronchospasm occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Rarely, rapid heart rate or elevated blood pressure may occur, and very rarely, life-threatening anaphylaxis may happen, so caution is advised. This medication may reduce the effectiveness of some antibiotics when taken together, so it is recommended to take them at least 2 hours apart. It is safer to avoid mixing this medication in liquid form with other medications. Keep out of reach of children, and store it in its original container to maintain the quality of the medication and prevent misuse. Inhaled forms of this medication may induce bronchospasm in patients with asthma or compromised respiratory function, so if any unusual symptoms appear, discontinue use and seek appropriate treatment. For elderly patients or children, the safety of this medication has not been sufficiently established, so it is important to consult with a professional before use. Light nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, or chest tightness may occur after inhalation, and if secretions increase, they should be removed properly. When used with antibiotics, it is better to administer them separately without mixing. After using spraying devices, clean them immediately to prevent damage to the device, and be careful as some medications may cause precipitation if mixed.
