Precautions

This medication should not be used by anyone allergic to this drug or its components. Those with ulcers in the stomach or duodenum should also avoid taking it, and it should not be used in children under 2 years old. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should take this medication only after consulting their doctor and only if necessary. Breastfeeding women should also take this medication cautiously, as it is not clear whether it passes into breast milk. During treatment, gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, oral inflammation, heartburn, and diarrhea may occur, so caution is advised. Also, if symptoms of allergy such as hives, itching, rash, headache, tinnitus, or bronchospasm occur, treatment should be immediately stopped and consultation with a medical professional is required. Rapid heartbeat or increased blood pressure may occur, and rarely, a serious allergic reaction known as anaphylaxis may also happen. Symptoms such as difficulty breathing have also been reported, so if unusual symptoms arise, immediate professional assistance should be sought. This drug may reduce the effectiveness of certain antibiotics if taken together, so it is recommended to take them at least 2 hours apart. When storing the medication, keep it out of reach of children and store it safely in its original container. For the inhalation form of this medication, those with bronchial asthma or compromised respiratory function must consult a doctor before use. Safety in elderly patients and children has not been completely verified, so consulting a professional before use is necessary. Bronchial obstruction or spasms may occur after inhalation, so symptoms should be monitored carefully and treatment should be stopped immediately if issues arise. This medication may have a slight sulfur smell or cause symptoms like nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite. Additionally, rare side effects such as hemoptysis, chills, fever, drowsiness, and feelings of chest tightness may occur, so caution is necessary. Inhalation solutions can increase bronchial secretions, so if natural sputum discharge does not occur, mechanical support or position changes should be used to assist sputum clearance. Inhalation solutions should not be used as injections or eye drops; after nebulization, a mask may adhere to the face but can be easily removed by washing with water. Nebulizers must be thoroughly cleaned after use, and it is advisable not to mix with other medications. Excessive concentration of the medication may reduce its effectiveness, so appropriate dilution is necessary.
