Improvement of nutritional status through the provision of amino acids in cases of hypoalbuminemia and malnutrition.
This product is used when there is a need for amino acid supplementation in conditions such as hypoalbuminemia, malnutrition, and pre- or post-operative situations. These conditions can arise from a deficiency of protein in the body; thus, supplementation with amino acids helps improve nutritional status, aids recovery, and supports overall body function.
Adults: Administer by drip infusion up to a maximum of 1–1.5 g of total amino acids per kg body weight per day. Infusion rate: It is recommended that a concentration of about 10 g of total amino acids be infused over 60 minutes, administering 30–40 drops per minute as a principle.
In children, the dosage and infusion rate should be adjusted accordingly.
This medication must be used strictly according to the doctor's instructions. It should not be used in patients with hepatic coma symptoms or those at risk of hepatic coma. It should not be administered to patients with severe renal impairment or hypernatremia and those with metabolic nitrogen issues. This medication should not be given to patients with severe heart failure, pulmonary edema, and those with very low or no urine output. In cases where sodium or chloride ions are present, it should not be used in patients with hypernatremia, hyperchloremia, or alkalosis. Caution should be exercised when administering it to patients with severe acidosis, congestive heart failure, edema due to sodium retention, hyperkalemia, or potassium retention. Patients with liver or kidney dysfunction should also be monitored closely. This preparation contains sodium bisulfite, which may cause allergic reactions or asthma attacks in some patients, so especially asthmatic patients should be careful. Adverse reactions such as rash, nausea, vomiting, chest discomfort, palpitations, and elevated blood pressure may occur during administration, and if any unusual symptoms appear, use should be stopped immediately. Rapid administration of large amounts may lead to metabolic acidosis, so caution is needed. Serious adverse reactions such as chills, fever, headache, dyspnea, and shock may rarely occur. Patients with liver or kidney failure need regular blood tests as their blood test values may change. This medication contains electrolytes, so electrolyte balance should be monitored during large doses, and excessive doses may lead to metabolic alkalosis. Patients with a history of kidney disease, lung disease, or heart disease should avoid excessive fluid administration. Diabetic patients should regularly monitor their blood glucose levels for good glucose management. There may be interactions with other medications, so caution is especially needed when combined with tetracycline antibiotics. Safety has not been established in pregnant women, so it should be administered cautiously only when necessary. In children, the dosage should be lowered due to immature liver function, and blood ammonia levels should be frequently checked. The elderly may have decreased physical function, so the rate of administration should be slow, and dosing should be adjusted. Care should be taken regarding electrolyte content and rate of administration, and the drug should be adjusted according to body temperature. Maintain aseptic conditions during preparation and administration of the infusion solution, and do not use solutions that are discolored or cloudy. During storage, keep it sealed to protect against exposure to air or moisture, and do not use if there is leakage or discoloration.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container to prevent exposure to air or moisture. Additionally, it is best to store it at room temperature away from direct sunlight.
