How to take

Adult dose

The usual adult dose is 3 grams taken three times a day before meals or between meals.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by pregnant women or women who could become pregnant. The ingredients in this medication may cause uterine contractions or increase blood flow to the pelvic organs, raising the risk of miscarriage or preterm birth. Breastfeeding women should also avoid this medication, as specific components can be transferred through breast milk and cause diarrhea in infants. Patients with lactose intolerance or certain genetic metabolic disorders should not take this medication due to the presence of lactose, which may cause side effects. Patients with hypertension, elderly individuals, patients with weak heart or kidney function, and those with edema must consult a specialist before taking this medication. Also, caution is needed for individuals with diarrhea or loose stools, those with a weak stomach, or those who experience loss of appetite, nausea, or vomiting. People with a history of allergic reactions such as rashes or itching from medication, as well as those taking anti-diarrheal medicine, should consult a specialist. Care should be taken when taking this medication alongside drugs that contain potassium or licorice, as this may lead to hypokalemia or muscle abnormalities.
