Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. For example, it may be dangerous to administer to patients who have allergies to this medication's ingredients or have experienced hypersensitivity reactions, as well as patients with gastrointestinal bleeding, obstruction, or perforation. Furthermore, patients with prolactin-secreting tumors should not be administered this medication as it may promote prolactin secretion. Patients who are taking strong CYP3A4 enzyme inhibitors, those with prolonged cardiac conduction intervals, or patients with cardiac diseases such as electrolyte imbalances or heart failure should not use this medication. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, and patients with genetic metabolic issues such as lactose intolerance should also avoid taking this medication. This medication should be used cautiously in children, patients with compromised kidney or liver function, elderly patients, and those with a history of heart disease. Patients with allergies or hypersensitivity to caramel ingredients also need to be careful. Side effects such as dry mouth, drowsiness, headache, diarrhea, rash, breast-related abnormal symptoms may occur while taking this medication, and rare but severe allergic reactions, cardiac arrhythmias, and seizures have also been reported. Particularly, if taken in high doses for an extended period, the incidence of prolactin-related adverse reactions may increase. In patients with impaired liver function, caution is required as this medication is metabolized in the liver, and patients with severe kidney impairment should adjust the dosage and frequency. This medication should also be used with caution in patients with a history of breast cancer. Taking this medication may cause drowsiness or dizziness, so patients should be cautious when performing tasks requiring alertness, such as driving or operating machinery. This medication may interact with various drugs; therefore, if taking other medications, consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is essential. In particular, the risk of side effects may increase if taken in combination with drugs that can affect the heart or inhibit CYP3A4 enzymes. Pregnant or breastfeeding women are advised not to take this medication, and if breastfeeding, they should consult a doctor, as side effects may appear in the baby. This medication should not be administered to children, especially those under 35 kg, and caution is needed as overdose may cause neurological symptoms. Elderly patients may need to reduce the dosage or use this medication cautiously due to decreased physical function. Overdose may present symptoms such as agitation, confusion, seizures, drowsiness, and appropriate treatment including electrocardiogram monitoring is necessary. This medication should be stored out of the reach of children and kept in its original container to prevent quality degradation or misuse. To use this medication safely, it is important to follow the doctor's instructions and to consult a healthcare professional immediately if unusual symptoms occur.
