This medication is an antibiotic that kills bacteria by inhibiting the synthesis of certain bacterial cell walls. Individuals who have experienced severe allergic reactions or shock due to this medication should not use it. Patients who are allergic to this medication or similar classes of antibiotics should also avoid administration. Patients with a history of allergy to penicillin antibiotics or those prone to allergic symptoms such as asthma or skin rashes should use this medication with caution. Patients with severely impaired kidney function, those who have difficulty taking orally, elderly patients, or those with poor overall condition should be carefully monitored for the risk of bleeding due to vitamin K deficiency. Patients with gastrointestinal diseases, especially those with a history of colitis, should also exercise caution when using this medication. This medication can rarely cause severe allergic reactions, skin rashes, blood abnormalities, liver or kidney function abnormalities, gastrointestinal issues, respiratory problems, and central nervous system symptoms, so immediate consultation with a physician is necessary if symptoms occur. Additionally, prolonged use or high doses of this medication may lead to symptoms of vitamin K and vitamin B complex deficiency, so caution is advised. This medication may interact with other drugs, especially medications that affect the kidneys, anticoagulants, oral contraceptives, etc., and should be used according to a physician's guidance. Pregnant or nursing women should carefully consider the necessity and risks, as the safety of this medication has not been fully established, and caution should be exercised while nursing. It is not recommended to administer to infants under one month of age due to lack of established safety and efficacy. Elderly patients may experience adverse reactions more easily due to decreased bodily functions, so dosage adjustments and condition monitoring are necessary. This medication should ideally be used only for the necessary duration after susceptibility testing to enhance treatment efficacy, and should not be arbitrarily discontinued or used for prolonged periods to prevent the emergence of resistant bacteria.
