Precautions

This medication is an antibiotic that kills specific bacteria. You must not use this medication if you have experienced an allergic reaction or severe shock to this medication or similar drugs in the past. Additionally, individuals with a known allergy to penicillin antibiotics or those with a tendency to frequently experience allergic reactions such as asthma, skin rashes, or hives should use this medication with caution. Patients with significantly impaired kidney function, elderly patients, or patients with poor nutritional status should also be particularly careful, as there is a risk of bleeding due to vitamin K deficiency, so monitoring is essential. Patients with gastrointestinal disorders, especially those with a history of colitis, should also be cautious. This medication can rarely cause serious allergic reactions or skin disorders, blood anomalies, liver or kidney dysfunction, gastrointestinal issues, respiratory problems, or central nervous system symptoms; if symptoms appear, you should immediately discontinue the medication and consult a physician. Additionally, prolonged use of this medication may disrupt the normal bacterial balance in the body, leading to infections such as candidiasis, so caution is necessary. This medication may interact with other drugs, particularly those affecting the kidneys, anticoagulants, and oral contraceptives, so it is important to consult a doctor or pharmacist. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should only use this medication if its safety is fully confirmed, and adequate caution should be exercised while breastfeeding. It is advisable not to use this medication in infants under one month of age, as its safety has not been established. Elderly individuals may show adverse reactions more easily due to weakened bodily functions, and the dosage and administration interval should be adjusted and carefully monitored. When using this medication, it is essential to take it only for the minimum duration required for treatment to prevent the development of resistant bacteria. Finally, this medication works by destroying the bacterial cell wall, killing the bacteria, and is only effective against susceptible strains.
