Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with a history of allergic reactions or hypersensitivity to any of the components in this medication. This medication contains lactose, so patients with a genetic disorder that prevents lactose digestion should not take it. Patients with chronic liver disease or cirrhosis should use this medication with caution. During treatment, side effects such as dry mouth, nausea, and skin rash may occur, and these symptoms may improve with the use of allergy medications. Transient jaundice may temporarily appear; in such cases, discontinuing the medication or taking jaundice treatment can resolve the symptoms. Occasionally, nausea or abdominal bloating may occur, but these typically resolve quickly. Taking this medication along with inosine can improve liver function indicators. Pregnant women or women who may become pregnant, as well as nursing mothers, should not take this medication. Elderly patients may have reduced bodily function, so caution should be exercised in adjusting the dosage. It is rare for liver function test values to increase during treatment with this medication, but if they do, the values may rise when the drug is stopped; however, they improve upon re-administration. Keep this medication out of the reach of children, and it is important to store it in its original container, sealed, to maintain the safety and quality of the drug.
