Precautions

This medication can cause tendon-related diseases such as tendonitis and tendon rupture, so if symptoms occur, consumption should be stopped immediately. Peripheral neuropathy or central nervous system abnormal symptoms may also occur, so caution is required if sensory abnormalities or neurological symptoms appear. Patients with myasthenia gravis should avoid using this medication as it may worsen their symptoms. Concurrent use with corticosteroids increases the risk of tendon rupture, so co-administration should be avoided. This medication should not be administered to children, adolescents, pregnant women, or nursing mothers, and caution is necessary for patients with specific diseases. During treatment, allergic reactions such as rash, urticaria, or breathing difficulties may occur, so if unusual symptoms appear, it should be stopped immediately. As this medication can affect liver and kidney functions, regular testing and monitoring are necessary during long-term use. Gastrointestinal side effects such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, and nausea may appear; if symptoms are severe, consulting a doctor is advised. This medication may cause dizziness or drowsiness, so caution is required when driving or operating machinery. Interactions with other medications may occur, so particularly when taken with anticoagulants, hypoglycemic agents, or antacids, consultation with a doctor is necessary. During treatment, exposure to sunlight or ultraviolet light should be avoided, and if photosensitivity reactions occur, consumption should be stopped immediately. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not use this medication, and breastfeeding mothers should also avoid it. In case of overdose, immediate medical assistance should be sought, and sufficient hydration is important. This medication has not been proven safe for children and adolescents in their growth phases, so it is not administered to them. Elderly patients have a higher risk of side effects due to decreased kidney function, so dosage adjustments and careful monitoring are necessary.
