Precautions

This medication should not be administered to certain patients. Firstly, patients who are allergic to any component of this drug or have a history of allergies should avoid its use. Also, it should not be administered to patients in whom gastrointestinal motility stimulation would be dangerous, such as those with gastrointestinal bleeding, mechanical obstruction, or perforation. Patients with prolactin-secreting tumors should not use this medication as it can increase prolactin secretion. It can also pose risks if taken in conjunction with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors or medications that prolong the QTc interval. Patients with moderate to severe liver dysfunction and women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should also refrain from taking this medication. Caution is needed for patients with heart diseases such as prolonged cardiac conduction intervals, electrolyte imbalances, or heart failure. This medication contains lactose and is unsuitable for patients who have lactose intolerance or related genetic issues. Care should be taken when administering this medication to children, patients with renal impairment or mild liver dysfunction, the elderly, and those with heart disease. In particular, for the elderly, physiological functions may be diminished, necessitating dosage adjustments. When taking this medication, side effects such as dry mouth, drowsiness, headache, diarrhea, and rash may occur, and at high doses or with prolonged use, additional adverse reactions like breast discharge, depression, and irregular menstrual cycles may appear. As this medication is primarily metabolized in the liver, caution is needed for patients with liver damage, and for those with severe renal failure, the dosage and frequency should be reduced. This medication may cause drowsiness or dizziness, so it is advisable to avoid driving or operating machinery after taking it. There is a risk of cardiac arrhythmia, so patients with heart disease or prolonged QT intervals should consult a physician before taking this medication. This medication can interact with various drugs, so if you are taking other medications, it is essential to inform healthcare providers. In particular, caution is required when co-administered with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors, antiarrhythmics, antibiotics, or antipsychotic drugs. It is advisable for pregnant or breastfeeding women to avoid using this medication, and if breastfeeding, they should consult a doctor as side effects could occur in the infant. For children, especially those under 35kg, administration is not appropriate, and caution should be taken as central nervous system adverse reactions can occur in neonates or infants. In the case of overdose, symptoms such as agitation, dizziness, and seizures may occur, and appropriate medical treatment should be sought immediately. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, and kept in the original container to prevent quality degradation. Before taking the medication, it is crucial to fully understand the adverse reactions, interactions, and contraindications, and consult with a physician or pharmacist if needed.
