For general adult use, ciprofloxacin is usually administered orally in doses of 250 to 500 mg twice daily between meals. This medication is used to treat various bacterial infections. It is effective against respiratory infections and community-acquired pneumonia, except for acute bronchitis, and is also used for infections of the ear, nose, and throat. Additionally, it is suitable for treating bacterial prostatitis, acute uncomplicated cystitis, and pyelonephritis, as well as gonococcal cervicitis and urethritis. It can also be used for gastrointestinal infections, biliary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and bone and joint infections. It is effective for gynecological infections, peritonitis, chalazion, and blepharitis. However, as a fluoroquinolone, it may cause serious adverse reactions, and should be used only when no other treatment options are available for specific mild infections. This medication is effectively used for treating various infections.

How to take

Precautions
