In the digestive system, dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, decreased appetite, abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, and gastric discomfort may occur. Symptoms such as facial flushing or shortness of breath may rarely appear. A dry nose may also be experienced. It can affect liver function, potentially increasing liver enzyme levels, so caution regarding liver health is advised. If allergic reactions such as skin rashes occur, discontinue use immediately. Urinary issues such as difficulty urinating, hematuria, and frequent urination have also been rarely reported. A blood test may show an increase in white blood cell count. Other symptoms like swelling or menstrual irregularities may also occur. This medication may cause drowsiness, so avoid driving or operating dangerous machinery while taking it. Patients on long-term steroid treatment should cautiously and gradually adjust their steroid dosage when using this medication. Patients with bronchial asthma should understand that this medication is not designed to immediately relieve ongoing attacks. Seasonal allergy patients are advised to start taking this medication in advance of symptom exacerbation and to continue until symptoms resolve. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should only use this medication under the discretion of a physician if absolutely necessary, as it may affect the fetus. Nursing women should avoid taking this medication, as it can pass into breast milk, and if unavoidable, it is recommended to discontinue breastfeeding. Safety for premature infants, newborns, infants, and young children has not been sufficiently confirmed, so use should be avoided. Elderly patients should be cautious and adjust the dosage as bodily functions may decrease. This medication may have a bitter taste, so take note while administration.
