Relief of cough and phlegm
Cough and phlegm are common symptoms of respiratory diseases. This medication is used to alleviate these symptoms and ease breathing. It helps reduce coughing and promotes the expulsion of phlegm, thereby improving respiratory health.
For adults and adolescents aged 15 years and older, take 2 tablets once, 3 times a day after meals.
For children aged 12 to under 15 years, take 1 tablet once, 3 times a day after meals.
This medication is not recommended for patients under 18 years of age who are obese, have obstructive sleep apnea syndrome, or severe pulmonary diseases due to the increased risk of respiratory depression. Individuals with a history of allergic reactions to this drug or its components should not use it. In addition, those who have taken specific antidepressants, such as MAO inhibitors, or psychiatric medications within the last two weeks, breastfeeding women, glaucoma patients, those with conditions causing urinary obstruction such as benign prostatic hyperplasia, and children under 12 years old should also refrain from using this medication. Particular caution is needed for individuals with allergies or those who have experienced hypersensitivity reactions to medications, people with poor liver or kidney function, those with diabetes or thyroid disorders, elderly individuals with heart or blood pressure issues, and women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. Drowsiness may occur while taking this medication, so it is advisable to avoid driving or operating machinery. Additionally, excessive dosing or prolonged use should be avoided. Taking this medication in conjunction with other cold medicines, sedatives, or antihistamines may lead to overlapping effects or increased side effects, hence these should not be combined. The use of alcohol or central nervous system depressants may exacerbate drowsiness. Pregnant or breastfeeding women are advised not to use this medication, especially as the drug can be transmitted through breast milk and affect the baby. Children require special attention, and those under 12 years old should not take this medication due to the risk of severe respiratory depression, hallucinations, or seizures. Elderly patients may have reduced physical functions, so they should use this medication carefully under a doctor's guidance. In case of overdose, emergency measures such as inducing vomiting or gastric lavage may be necessary, and critical central nervous system symptoms may develop, requiring immediate medical attention. This medication should be stored out of the reach of children, and it should be kept in a cool place away from direct sunlight and moisture. To maintain quality, it is advisable not to transfer it to another container, as it may degrade when stored with certain other medicines.
