Precautions

This drug is a medication that acts on the central nervous system to treat anxiety or panic disorders. It can be very dangerous if taken in conjunction with narcotics, as it may suppress breathing or impair consciousness; therefore, it should only be used at the minimum dose and for the minimum duration when absolutely necessary. Additionally, this medication carries a risk of abuse and dependence, so it should be taken exactly as prescribed by a doctor, and any remaining medication should be safely stored or disposed of. Patients with specific conditions, such as acute angle-closure glaucoma, severe myasthenia gravis, severe respiratory failure, or severe liver failure, should not use this drug. It should be used cautiously in patients with heart, liver, or kidney issues, as well as in the elderly or frail patients, and in cases of allergic reactions. This medication may cause drowsiness or decreased concentration, so dangerous activities such as driving or operating machinery should be avoided. Regular testing, such as liver function tests, is necessary during long-term use, and discontinuation should be done gradually as sudden cessation may lead to withdrawal symptoms as directed by a physician. It is advisable not to administer this medication during pregnancy, especially in the latter stages, as it may affect the fetus, and caution should be exercised during breastfeeding as well, as it may affect the infant through breast milk. This medication may interact with various drugs, so if taking other medications, it is essential to consult with a physician or pharmacist, particularly due to the significantly increased risks when taken with alcohol. In cases of overdose, severe drowsiness, coma, respiratory depression, etc., may occur, requiring immediate emergency treatment and professional medical care. Lastly, the safety of this medication has not been established in children, and elderly patients may experience side effects more easily, so special caution should be taken during administration.
