Dosage

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with viral keratoconjunctivitis, fungal eye diseases, mycobacterial infections, or chronic blepharitis. In addition, patients with hypersensitivity to this medication should avoid its administration. It is generally not used in cases where the corneal epithelium is damaged or ulcers are present, or in patients with tuberculous or purulent eye diseases; however, it should be used with extreme caution when essential. Caution is also needed for glaucoma patients and infants under 2 years of age. Prolonged use of this medication can lead to increased intraocular pressure, glaucoma, and optic nerve damage, so regular intraocular pressure checks are necessary. There is a risk of worsening infectious diseases such as herpes keratitis or corneal ulcers; in such cases, appropriate treatment should be received immediately. Long-term use may increase the risk of cataracts or secondary eye infections. The use of corticosteroids during acute purulent eye infections may mask or worsen the infection, necessitating caution. Contact lens wearers should remove their lenses before instilling the medication and may reinsert them at least 30 minutes after instillation. Especially in cases of infection with varicella or measles, or when immunizations have not been received, there may be an increased risk of infection during the use of this medication, so special care for infection prevention is needed. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should avoid the long-term use of this medication, and if necessary, should consult a healthcare professional. Extra caution is required when using this medication in children and elderly patients, as its safety has not been sufficiently confirmed. This medication should be used only for ocular instillation and care should be taken to avoid contact between the container opening and the eye. Single-use products should be used immediately after opening, and any remaining medication should be discarded; it should not be shared with others. When storing, avoid direct sunlight and keep in a cool, dry place out of reach of children.
