This medication is used to improve the difficulty in sputum discharge caused by acute and chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, laryngitis, sinusitis, and cystic fibrosis.

How to take

Adult dose

For acute conditions, take 200 mg once, three times a day before meals with a small amount of water. For chronic conditions, take 200 mg once, twice a day before meals with a small amount of water.

Child dose

For acute conditions, children aged 6 to 14 take 200 mg once, twice a day before meals with a small amount of water. For chronic conditions, children aged 6 to 14 take 100 mg once, three times a day before meals.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by individuals allergic to any of its components. Patients with ulcers in the stomach or duodenum or children under 2 years of age should not use this medication. Also, individuals with a genetic condition that prevents lactose digestion should not take this medication. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only take this medication if absolutely necessary, and must consult with a physician before use. Women who are breastfeeding should also be cautious as it is uncertain whether this medication is excreted in breast milk. During use, gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, mouth inflammation, heartburn, and diarrhea may occur, and these should be monitored. Additionally, if allergic reactions such as hives, itching, rash, headaches, tinnitus, or bronchospasm occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. This medication may reduce the effectiveness of some antibiotics, so it is advisable to take it with at least a 2-hour interval from other medications. Mixing other medications into the drug solution should be avoided. Keep this medication out of reach of children, and store it in its original container to prevent misuse and degradation.
