Precautions

This medicine contains lactose monohydrate, so individuals with galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. Individuals with high blood pressure or older age, those with heart or kidney problems, those with edema, and those currently receiving medical treatment should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. If symptoms such as decreased urine output, swelling of the face and extremities, heavy eyelids, hand stiffness, elevated blood pressure, or headache occur during use, treatment should be stopped immediately and a medical professional consulted. Furthermore, if this medicine is taken for a long period, hypokalemia, elevated blood pressure, and accumulation of sodium and fluids in the body leading to edema or weight gain may occur, so regular monitoring of blood potassium levels is necessary, and if abnormal levels are detected, use should be discontinued. Symptoms such as muscle weakness, limb cramps, and paralysis may occur due to hypokalemia, so if these symptoms develop, treatment should be discontinued immediately and a professional consulted. Caution should be taken if used in conjunction with potassium-containing medications, medications with licorice components, loop diuretics, and thiazide diuretics, as this may increase the risk of hypokalemia and muscular issues. Lastly, this medicine is very sensitive to moisture, so it must be stored tightly sealed after use.
