This eye drop is used for various inflammatory diseases of the external and anterior segments of the eye. The 0.02% eye drop helps treat inflammation such as blepharitis, conjunctivitis, keratitis, scleritis, and episcleritis. The 0.1% eye drop is also effective for treating iritis, iridocyclitis, uveitis, and postoperative inflammation. In other words, it is utilized for various inflammatory diseases around the eye, helping to alleviate inflammation and improve symptoms.

Dosage

Instill 1-2 drops 2-4 times a day. Adjust according to symptoms.

Precautions

This drug should not be used in patients with viral keratitis or conjunctivitis, fungal eye diseases, mycobacterial infections, or chronic blepharitis. Furthermore, patients who are hypersensitive to this drug should avoid its administration. In cases of corneal epithelial damage or corneal ulcers, and for patients with tuberculous or purulent eye diseases, glaucoma patients, or children under 2 years of age, it should not be used in principle; however, if necessary, it must be used very cautiously. Long-term use of this drug may lead to elevated intraocular pressure, glaucoma, optic nerve damage, or vision impairment, so regular intraocular pressure checks are important. Since there is a risk of worsening infections such as herpes keratitis or fungal keratitis, appropriate treatment should be sought immediately if infection symptoms appear. Long-term use may increase the risk of cataracts or secondary infections, so caution is needed. This medication should be discontinued and a doctor consulted if eye inflammation or pain persists or worsens for more than 48 hours. If wearing contact lenses, they should be removed before application and can be reinserted after at least 30 minutes. Vision may temporarily become blurred after instillation, so caution is advised when driving or operating machinery. Individuals who have not had chickenpox or measles, or who have not been vaccinated, are at a higher risk of infection while using this medication and should be particularly careful. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should avoid long-term use, and nursing mothers should refrain from administration or discontinue breastfeeding. Special attention should be given to children and the elderly, as they may be more sensitive to the side effects of the medication. This drug is for topical use only, and care should be taken to avoid direct contact between the container opening and the eye. Shake well before use and it is best to avoid sharing with others to prevent contamination.
