This medication helps to detoxify the body's toxins, aids in the expulsion of phlegm, and is used to relieve spasms or stiff muscles.

How to take

Adult dose

Take 0.37 to 0.91g three times a day before meals or between meals. Adjust dosage according to age and symptoms. It may be used in reduced amounts if compounded for preparation.

Precautions

This medication contains lactose hydrate, so it should not be taken by individuals with genetic problems such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Individuals with high blood pressure, older adults, those with heart or kidney problems, those with body edema, and those currently receiving treatment from a doctor should consult with a physician or pharmacist before taking this medication. If urine output decreases, there is swelling of the face, hands, or feet, heavy eyelids, stiffness in the hands, blood pressure rises, or headaches occur during use, immediately stop taking the medication and consult a professional. Additionally, long-term use of this medication may result in symptoms such as hypokalemia, increased blood pressure, fluid retention, edema, or weight gain, so regular monitoring of serum potassium levels is necessary, and use should be discontinued in case of abnormalities. Symptoms such as muscle weakness, spasms, or paralysis may signal myopathy, so stop taking the medication and consult a physician. Caution should be exercised when taking this medication in combination with potassium-containing preparations, other licorice-containing drugs, and certain diuretics, as side effects may worsen. Finally, this medication is sensitive to moisture, so after use, it must be stored in a tightly sealed container to prevent moisture ingress.
