This drug is an antibiotic effective against various bacterial infections, primarily acting against several strains such as Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Escherichia coli, and Streptococcus pneumoniae. It is widely used for complex skin and soft tissue infections, acute and chronic otitis media, sinusitis, and community-acquired pneumonia. Additionally, it helps treat bacterial infections in various sites, including acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, urinary tract infections, reproductive tract inflammation, gastrointestinal infections, and eye infections. However, as it belongs to the fluoroquinolone class of drugs, there is a risk of serious adverse reactions, so it is primarily used when no other treatment options are available. It is important for patients to take this medication exactly as directed by their physician. This drug is used for the treatment of complex and various bacterial infections.
