How to take

Child dose

Children: Clenbuterol Hydrochloride Ages 6 to 12 years: 15 μg (15 mL) per dose, Ages 4 to 5 years: 10 μg (10 mL) per dose, Ages 2 to 3 years: 7.5 μg (7.5 mL) per dose, Ages 8 months to 1 year.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy or tachyarrhythmia. Additionally, it should not be administered to individuals with allergies to this drug or its components. Caution is required in patients with hyperthyroidism, hypertension, recent myocardial infarction or significant cardiac and vascular issues, diabetes, pheochromocytoma, and those with a history of allergy to sympathomimetic amines. Using this medication may result in neurological symptoms such as headaches, tremors, drowsiness, muscle rigidity, and anxiety. Additionally, it may cause increased or irregular heart rate and fluctuations in blood pressure. Gastrointestinal side effects may include decreased appetite, indigestion, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and rarely diarrhea. Allergic reactions may occur, such as rash, itching, rarely angioedema, urticaria, or bronchospasm, so if these symptoms appear, the use of this medication should be discontinued immediately. Liver function abnormalities may occur rarely, and potassium levels in the blood may drop significantly, so caution is needed. Muscle pain, general fatigue, and edema may also occur. Excessive use of this medication increases the risk of arrhythmias or cardiac arrest, so it is essential to adhere to the dosage and frequency. Especially when administering to children, proper usage should be guided, and their condition should be closely monitored. The risk of low blood potassium levels can worsen when used with steroids, diuretics, and xanthines, so patients with asthma should be particularly cautious. Regular monitoring of blood potassium levels is advisable. This medication should not be used with catecholamine drugs such as epinephrine or isoproterenol, as it can exacerbate cardiac side effects. Caution is also advised when used with MAO inhibitors, tricyclic antidepressants, and non-selective beta-blockers, as it may pose risks. Increased cardiac side effects may also occur when combined with other sympathomimetics or certain inhalational anesthetics, so being cautious is necessary. Co-administration with beta-adrenergic agents, anticholinergics, theophylline, and corticosteroids may enhance efficacy or exacerbate side effects. During pregnancy, uterine muscle contractions may be inhibited, delaying delivery, and it may transfer to the baby through the placenta and breast milk, so it is recommended that pregnant or nursing women do not use this medication. Elderly patients may have decreased physical function, so caution should be taken regarding dosage adjustments. In cases of overdose, symptoms often resolve after discontinuation of the medication. However, treatment may include the use of cardioselective beta-blockers or sedatives. Special caution is warranted when using beta-blockers in patients with a history of bronchospasm.
