This medication is used for conditions characterized by redness, swelling, firmness, and pain associated with suppurative disorders. These symptoms are a type of inflammatory response, and the medication helps to alleviate and promote healing of these conditions.

How to take

Adult dose

Typically, 1 packet (single dose) is taken 3 times a day before meals or between meals.

Precautions

This medication is contraindicated for individuals with specific symptoms. For example, it should not be taken by those with redness, swelling, and pain in the skin, or systemic symptoms such as headache, chills, and fever. Additionally, it should not be used by individuals with non-fevered pustules or chronic abscesses. This medication contains lactose hydrate, so it should be avoided by those with genetic disorders that prevent lactose digestion. Consultation with a physician, traditional Korean medicine doctor, dentist, pharmacist, or herbalist may be necessary before use. Individuals with high blood pressure, heart, or kidney diseases, those with edema, those taking other medications, the elderly, pregnant women or women who could become pregnant, those with a history of rashes or itching due to medications, and children should consult a specialist. If any abnormal symptoms occur during use, discontinue immediately and consult a specialist. Examples of these symptoms include decreased urination, swelling of the face or extremities, heaviness in eyelids or stiffness in hands, increased blood pressure or headaches, muscle weakness or cramps, skin rashes or itching, and digestive discomfort. Additionally, if symptoms do not improve or worsen after 5-6 days of use, you should stop taking and consult. It is generally advised not to use this medication for extended periods, and if prolonged use is unavoidable, it must be discussed with a specialist. It is important to adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration. Caution should be exercised when taking with other medications containing potassium or licorice, or certain diuretics, as there is a risk of hypokalemia or muscular abnormalities. Furthermore, when taking with other herbal medications, care should be taken to avoid overlapping ingredients. This medication should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, and the container must be tightly sealed after use. It should be kept out of reach of children.
